Crónica is an artist-run label based in Porto, Portugal. Started in 2003 as an outlet for local artists, over time it expanded to a broader range of international artists and became an imprint dedicated to electronic, computational, and experimental music, and to the intertwining of the sound arts with other artistic practices. Crónica is a labour of love that embraces the post-digital condition and sets its sights on high artistic standards.

Besides releasing music, from 2009 to 2017 we produced Futurónica, a biweekly radio broadcast that ran for 200 episodes; from 2005 to 2016 we published Crónicaster, a podcast with 122 episodes. Between 2010 and 2025 we distributed our releases to streaming services, something we since stopped doing.
