Crónica is an artist-run label based in Porto, Portugal. It is a labour of love started in 2003 as an outlet for local artists and grew to become an imprint dedicated to electronic, computational, and experimental music, and to the intertwining of sound arts with other artistic practices. Crónica embraces the post-digital and sets its sights on high standards rather than on strictly commercial criteria.

Besides music & artefacts, from 2009 to 2017, we also produced Futurónica, a biweekly radio broadcast that ran for 200 episodes, and, from 2005 to 2016, Crónicaster, a podcast with 122 episodes.

Portugal’s Crónica once again must be acknowledged for keeping to task, and truly offering work that is challenging in the busted world of electronic music. Igloomag
