Cecilia Quinteros
Cecilia Quinteros is a cellist, composer, and improviser with a particular interest in hybridisation that stems from her approach to the instrument itself, blending classical techniques with exploratory methods and electronic processes. Quinteros has been part of several musical and interdisciplinary projects — such as Schmurtz, Lo de Martha, Corto Morales, Masmédula, The Radiata 5tet, Rhabdoviridae, Yas, Eriza, La Corporación, Haití, Anida, Mokita, etc. — and has collaborated with numerous artists, including dancers, visual and audiovisual artists. She has also composed for theatre and commissions for other ensembles, and received several awards and grants. Based in Buenos Aires, Quinteros has performed extensively across the Americas and Europe.
